Ireland get a penalty because of Apple

Ireland faces a fine from the European Union for not collecting with Apple’s 13 billion euros in tax payments.

Apple had to pay money 3 January, but the Irish government did not agree with the EU’s decision and filed an appeal in court, saying that the country does not need money from the company.

If Ireland do not take action, and the court finds a violation, then the country will receive a fine from the European Commission for failure to comply with the tax practices of the European Union and the failure of the regulator’s requirements on tax penalties.

Last year the European Commission demanded Apple to pay Ireland 13 billion euros. According to the EC, Ireland has provided Apple with preferential terms of payment of taxes, which the Corporation for a long time save on tax contributions.
