“iPhone Edition” will have a steel frame similar to the iPhone 4 and vertical dual camera for VR

Macotakara has published interesting details about the upcoming flagship smartphone of Apple. In particular, the source said that the so-called “iPhone Edition” will receive a glass case and a steel perimeter frame, similar to the iPhone 4, and iPhone 7s and 7s Plus will receive minimal changes compared to the predecessors.

As for the new anniversary model, Macotakara expects the unit will receive a stainless steel frame around the body, and the front and rear panels are made of glass. Apple used a similar design to the iPhone 4 and 4s. A year ago a well-known analyst Ming-Chi Kuo predicted a new design similar to the iPhone 4 years a year ago.

Macotakara also reports that the top-end smartphone Apple will keep the system dual-lens iSight camera Duo, but the horizontal layout will change to vertical. According to the report, such a design has recently moved into status “For approval”.

A recent leak also confirm the vertical location of the camera, but no drawing, unfortunately, does not reveal why Apple went to such a step. According Macorakara, the vertical location of cameras needed for virtual reality. In particular, when using the “iPhone Edition” VR-helmet iSight Duo will be placed horizontally.

As for the iPhone 7s, and 7s Plus, the resource claims that it will be a minor update. Most likely, the plan design will change only the thickness of the body down, causing the old covers may not be suitable.

Previously, Apple increased the thickness of the iPhone 6s than the iPhone 6 for the introduction of technology 3D Touch.
