iPhone 8 supports the new communication standard

iPhone iPhone 8 and 8 Plus support the HD Voice technology the new generation. It is reported by Engadget Japan, referring to one of Japanese mobile operators.

HD Voice (VoLTE) is a technology which allows to increase the call quality and connection reliability through the use of LTE networks. It is present in Apple devices since the iPhone 6.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus working with an improved version of this technology called EVS (Enhanced Voice Services). About Engadget Japan announced the company’s President of KDDI, Takashi Tanaka.

EVS uses an increased frequency range, which significantly improve the quality and stability of connection during calls.

While new technology supports only one mobile operator in the UK and several in the United States.

iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus, was presented on 12 September in the “Theatre of Steve jobs”. Apple also revealed the iPhone X, Apple Watch and third-generation Apple TV 4K.
