iPhone 6 and 6 Plus vs Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 edge: the Internet speed test [video]

User YouTube-channel Adrianisen did an experiment with flagship smartphones from Apple and Samsung. With the help of a program to test the Internet speed he estimated the speed of the network connections on the iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, Samsung Galaxy S6 and Samsung S6 edge.

All four smartphones were connected to the same wireless network Wi-Fi. Running on each device the app SpeedTest, enthusiast measured the speed of the Internet. The fastest was the Galaxy S6 edge. Korean handset with a curved display showed the result in 181 and 153 Mbps for download and upload respectively. The second was the Galaxy S6 at a speed of 169 and 157 Mbps. iPhone 6 came in third, with the result of 117 and 117 Mbps, iPhone 6 Plus fourth – 104 and 122 Mbps.

It should be noted that the conducted Adrianisen test is not linked to the performance of devices in real life. In a recent experiment, in which no attention was paid to the technical characteristics of the communicators (processors, RAM, etc.), iPhone 6 was faster Galaxy S6 edge. The test was meant to run applications Phone, Contacts, Music, SMS, messenger, Camera, and other. Reporters noted that in most cases the iPhone 6 outperforms rival fractions of a second. Even the Camera, which, according to Samsung runs at 0.7 s from any application, turned out to be slower than Apple’s flagship.
