iPhone 6 ahead of Galaxy S6 and HTC One M9 in the tests graphics performance

Resource GameBench comparison of four flagship smartphones – iPhone 6, Galaxy S6, HTC One M9 and Nexus 6. The subject of the comparison was the graphics performance of the device, the experts decided to install the device most suitable for mobile games with rich realistic graphics.

Compare Android phones with the iPhone 6 in games showed significant superiority of the latter. So, the 5.1-inch Samsung smartphone with Quad HD resolution often demonstrates the reduction of the frame rate below 30 fps. iPhone 6 delivers a higher average frame rate and a more stable fps than its competitors on the Android platform, experts state.

HTC One M9 and the Nexus 6 took third and fourth places respectively, demonstrating a serious performance drop in some games”.

Line of phones iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus is built on the basis of 20-nanometer A8 processor. Following the tradition, some detailed details about the characteristics of the crystal are not disclosed. Apple say that the overall computational performance of the Apple A8 a quarter ahead of the A7 motorway and from the point of view of graphics performance, 84 times the processor of the first iPhone, released in 2007.

The Samsung Galaxy S6 acts as a new Exynos processor, which includes eight processing cores. Hardware is the newest 14-nanometer platform (14nm 3D FinFET), which is characterized by a 20% increase in speed reduced by 35% power and 30% increase in performance.
