In the beta version of iOS 11.3 for developers, Apple introduced features like AirPlay 2 ARKit 1.5 and other. One of them is connected with the authentication process for the iPhone X.
Along with iPhone X the company introduced a new authorization method to purchase the content in the App Store, iTunes Store, or pay through Apple Pay. Earlier devices with Touch ID for authentication just read papillary pattern of the finger of the owner. System Face ID in iPhone X allows you to confirm identity with a person with just a glance.
Apple developers have provided protection against accidental purchases. The operation will be made only after double clicking the side key locks. In the original it sounds like “Double Click to Install” and “Double Click to Pay”, that is not even clicking and “double click”.
Some users complained that they were not completely clear on the buying process through Face ID. Someone tried to double-click on the inscription itself, and someone spent a finger on it. In iOS 11.3 beta 1 this point was taken into account. The manufacturer has added a graphic and the words “Confirm with Side Button”, i.e. “Confirm by pressing the side”.
According to the company, iOS 11.3 will be available for installation this spring.
