In the near future is expected to release the jailbreak for iOS 10.3.1. The Pangu team demonstrated the exploit at a security conference in China. The tool will be available for owners of 64-bit devices on the current platform. So now is the time to prepare your iPhone or iPad to exit the program.

The developers of Pangu did not name the exact date of the release, however, the announcement for such a big event shows the seriousness of hackers. MacDigger is actively monitoring jailbreak-trends and it is our responsibility to tell people some of which iPhone and iPad have become their first “Apple” gadgets, how to prepare for the release of iOS 10.3.1.

Jailbreak is interesting but also rather complicated process. If something goes wrong, it can lead to problem devices.

Make a backup via iTunes

This procedure must be performed on a regular basis, regardless of, you are going to jailbreak or just update the operating system. Connect to iTunes and create a backup of your iPhone will ensure the safety of your data and the possibility of their recovery when needed.

Update to iOS 10.3.1 (optional)

The iOS version 10.3.1 is relevant at the moment. If your device is running iOS 10.2.1, for which there is no jailbreak, you should upgrade to iOS 10.3.1. If you use the gadget with iOS 10.2 with jailbreak, you’d better to wait for utility from Pangu.

Save SHSH2 blobs for iOS 10.3.1

It is recommended to save the certificate SHSH blobs, to be able to roll back or update to iOS 10.3.1 with the help of Prometheus, when Apple ceases to sign the Assembly.

Step 1: You will need the ECID number of your device. It can be read by connecting the device to your computer and launching iTunes. Copy it to Notepad, Word or any other text editor.

Step 2: After you copied the 16-digit number, click on the following link to access the TSS Saver:

Step 3: In the relevant row, paste the ECID number.
Note: if you receive the number you used is not iTunes and the UDID Calculator, before you enter you select the “Dec” instead of “Hex” in accordance with the decimal format.

Step 4: In the field “Identifier”, select the model of your device. As an example, used by the iPhone 7 Plus, so in the first column, we choose “iPhone” and the second “iPhone 7 Plus”.

If you have an iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus or iPhone SE service may require more information. You will need the model number of the device, which can be obtained through the application BMSSM in the App Store.

If you are an iPhone 7 or iPhone 7 Plus, you only need to know what you have, GSM or Global. By connecting the device to iTunes several times, click on the UDID to display the ID. In the case of the iPhone 7 is 9.1 for the Global and 9.3 for GSM, and the iPhone 7 Plus is 9.2 and 9.4 for Global GSM.

Step 5: Select “I am not a robot”.

Step 6: Click the Submit button to get the link to download the certificate.
