A few days ago, insider John Prosser hinted on his Twitter the output of a foldable iPhone. According to him, the novelty will be released no earlier than 2021, but the specialist did not provide exact specifications for that moment.

And a little later, information appeared that shed some light on the new product. According to Prosser, a folding smartphone from Cupertino will be equipped with two screens with a thin hinged block between them. That is, it will be structurally closer to Microsoft Surface Duo and Neo than to Samsung Galaxy Fold.

It is assumed that such an arrangement will reduce the cost of development and the final device, as well as simplify its repair. In addition, there will be no notorious folds on the screen.
It is also stated that visually (unfolded), the novelty will be similar to the iPhone 11. At a minimum, it talks about “monobrow” and the FaceID system. However, it is not yet clear whether such a system is needed in a folding smartphone. Other specifications have not yet been specified.
