In Yekaterinburg blogger was arrested for two months for catching pokemon in the temple

Kirovskiy district court of Ekaterinburg has arrested for two months of searching Ruslan Sokolovsky, which played in the Pokemon Go in the temple. Chairman of the Patriarchal Commission on family matters, protection of motherhood and childhood Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov said that, in his opinion, the fished pokémon, the user should be punished not radical, but significant. He told this in an interview with radio station “Moscow speaking” on Saturday, September 3.

Earlier, the new Sokolowski published a video where he plays Pokemon Go in the Ekaterinburg Temple-on-Blood. He was accused of insulting the feelings of believers. According to the court decision, a blogger arrested for two months, continues investigation of the criminal case. The case was opened under part 1 article 282 (“inciting hatred or enmity”) and part 2 of article 148 of the criminal code (“Insult of feelings of believers”).

Archpriest Dimitry Smirnov said that the offender should be punished not drastically, but so “that the rest nepovadno was”. According to him, it is a matter, rather, of journalists, rather than judges: the information must be communicated to the public.

On the question of punishment Archpriest said that he would not like to talk about what is not well versed, but jokingly suggested guilty “put on a stake”.

“A pokemon catch it in your locker or in a public bath. The temple is a house of prayer. In the Church can neither play football nor to drink coffee or engage in extraneous conversations, no catching pokemon. This is a special place only for prayers and ordinances of the Church,” added Dmitry Smirnov.

Sokolowski video appeared on YouTube in early August. In the liner thereto, the blogger reported that he believes “complete nonsense” that someone might offend walking with a smartphone in the Church.
