As it became known, Ukraine has offered to run the network of the fifth generation without switching to 4G. It is reported portal ЛІГА.net with reference to the Deputy head of the President’s administration Dmytro Shymkiv. The speed of information exchange in these networks is 30 times higher speeds in 4G is more than 10GB per second.
Shymkiv said that in the near future the market will be available with next-generation technology, which means that to license 4G will no longer make sense. According to him, if at the time of the next tender, which will take place in a few years, will be offered the options available with commercial equipment 5G, the need for licensing for fourth generation disappears.
“This stage will just jump,” said shymkiv.
According to the Ukrainian edition, recently national Commission for regulation of communications and Informatization hired British experts to analyse the available ranges in Ukraine. It is expected that by the end of 2017 in the country will prepare the next portion of frequencies under the tender.
The source notes that the July 2015 President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed the decree about introduction of 4G in Ukraine. The introduction of the “fourth generation” is scheduled to begin next year.
Note that in December 2015 MTS and Ericsson announced a joint research aimed at the use of communication technologies 5G. It is assumed that the result of their work is to create test coverage of the fifth generation at the world championship on football in 2018. The commercial launch of 5G, MTS can take place in 2019-2020, but not earlier than will be developed by an appropriate standard.
