In the new York subway robber stabbed the man because of the iPhone

On Friday, the Brooklyn police arrived at the subway station Atlantic Avenue — Barclays center after the car was injured 33-year-old man. Reported by the New York Post.

The assailant struck the American with a knife in the stomach and took the iPhone, at that time, as the train approached the station. The incident occurred at 11:35 a.m., and shortly thereafter arrived at the scene rescue services. The victim was taken to hospital with stab wounds.

For several years Apple has added software and hardware features, trying to make their devices less attractive to thieves. The fingerprint scanner Touch ID and activation lock has reduced theft by 25% in new York last year and 40% in San Francisco, however, such incidents happen quite often.

Witnesses said that the attacker walked through the subway car back and forth, which caused suspicion among many and they hid their devices. Victim offender turned out to be an iPhone owner.

The burglar escaped before the police arrived. Currently, the police are looking for a suspect with a tattoo on his neck and a jacket with inscriptions, but there are many such people in Williamsburg.

A similar incident with an attempted robbery recently took place in Moscow. A resident of the capital killed the attacker, who tried to take away his iPhone. According to investigators, 19-year-old boy tried to steal the smartphone iPhone 5s. The owner of the phone in response put to the offender some blows to the head. From the received traumas the attacker fell into a coma. Some time later, the victim died in the intensive care unit of one of the capital’s hospitals.
