In Russia start of sales of new set-top box NVIDIA Shield TV. The second generation NVIDIA introduced at CES 2017 in Las Vegas in two modifications — in the form of mediastreamer Shield with 16 GB of flash memory and media server Shield Pro with a 500 GB storage.
In Russia became available for pre-order the Shield version with 16 GB of flash memory, as well as Shield Pro drive 500 GB. On the official website of the NVIDIA set-top boxes are available for 17 990 rubles and 25 990 rubles.
Both models NVIDIA Shield TV handle the playback of 4K video with HDR support. They also support voice assistant Google Assistant, the same as on smart columns Google Home and Google Pixel.

NVIDIA calls Shield TV best streaming device, outstripping the performance of Apple TV, Fire TV and Roku Ultra. At the core of the console lies the NVIDIA Tegra X1 with Maxwell graphics architecture and 256 CUDA cores and 3 GB of RAM. The operating system selected Android TV with Google Cast for Android 7.0 Nougat.
NVIDIA Shield to a TV you can connect external drives via USB 3.0. Supports Wi-Fi (802.11 ac 2×2 MIMO 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz), Bluetooth 4.1, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI 2.0 b with HDCP 2.2 and CEC, two USB 3.0 (Type A). Also has IR port for remote control.
