In Roskachestvo told how to protect your smartphone & nbsp

There are several ways of fraud: for example, on behalf of real contacts, scammers send victims SMS messages with links that are used to expose the smartphone to a virus. Topically, these links are related to the agenda – today this is all about COVID-19, remote work and the economic crisis.
It is also practiced to mislead a bank card holder when fraudsters call him under the guise of bank representatives in order to deceive him with confidential information, or force him to make a money transfer – directly or indirectly, through the installation of a “company application” that steals money.

There are applications that steal passwords and personal data, can even be downloaded to legal online stores. First, hackers download harmless programs that look like a flashlight or solitaire, and only then with the update add virus content to them.
In addition, scammers often create fake Wi-Fi networks for public use. If the owner of the smartphone connects to such a network and visits the site with its help, the attacker gains access to the victim’s login and password on this site, as well as the opportunity to act on it on behalf of the owner of the smartphone. Experts warn that advertising programs may be preinstalled on smartphones from little-known companies.
“Having caught one of these hooks, you can get a huge loop of problems – lose money, face a leak of data and personal information that could damage your reputation. The main recommendation that the Center for Digital Expertise of Roskachestvo gives is not to concentrate your whole life in one device, otherwise, along with access to the device, all your secrets can also “leak,” says Ilya Loevsky, deputy head of Roskachestvo.
Roskachestvo experts recommend that you download only official applications from the App Store – the Apple app store and the Play Store – the app store on the Android operating system, on your smartphone. Whenever possible, public Wi-Fi networks should be used, especially password-protected ones. Using public Wi-Fi to access the mobile bank is strongly discouraged. Do not enter the card number anywhere except on official and well-known online shopping sites. Be sure to enter passwords, especially in banking applications, manually, and do not leave them in the device’s memory: stealing passwords from the cache is much easier than you think.
