In February of this year in Ukraine will not have the Internet. This was reported in the National Bureau of investigation. This “boycott” has decided to arrange local Internet service providers.
As reports the edition “Russian spring”, providers of Ukraine agreed to hold a massive strike in order to resist the monopolization of the market. Next month they plan on four days to turn off the Internet throughout the country.
The event will take place on 3, 11, 12 and 20 Feb. It should draw attention to one of the main problems of development of mobile networks in the country — the monopoly energy companies to connect base stations to the network.
Now to create high-quality 3G network, you need to place the transmitters at a distance of 100-200 meters from each other, and each of them need to provide Internet and power. Operators are forced to use the support energy companies whose services are too expensive.
Providers use the supports that are on the books of energy companies. Contractors use a dominant position to raise prices for the rental of poles, which caused protest from the providers.
