But the staff iFixit were able to increase the amount of RAM up to 128 GB with the help of a special kit for $ 2,000.
The processor in the iMac Pro is a removable part. Theoretically it can be replaced, but since Apple uses exclusive the Intel chip, Vista updates yet. The same applies to SSDS: they are removable, but is made by Apple. Unlike the CPU, the graphics card is Radeon Pro Vega soldered on to the motherboard and cannot be replaced in the future.
Inside the iMac Pro is very different from the usual iMac. Due to the use of powerful components, the company had to completely redo the cooling system. In iMac Pro for cooling the answer two fans and a big radiator.
Pro installed in iMac is the same LG display as the 27-inch iMac 5K. But due to other cables or other location, webcam, screen iMac Pro cannot be replaced by a display to the iMac 5K.
In the end, iMac Pro got 3 points out of 10 on a scale of maintainability iFixit. Despite the presence of removable components, the computer is hard to understand, and some items are in hard to reach places.
