IBM will provide the company services for setting up and configuring your Mac

In the beginning of the month it became known that IBM, the company intends to purchase a MacBook for their employees. Today the Corporation has officially announced a new program in which it will help big business to implement the Mac in its infrastructure.

The project MobileFirst Managed Mobility Services Corporation will receive services for the integration of Apple computers in jobs with full support from IBM.

“The partnership with Apple opens up the possibility for IBM to commercialize the proposal based on their own experience of introducing the Mac in the corporate environment and scaling infrastructure for the needs of the customer,” reads the company’s statement.

As a good reason to use Apple products IBM representatives indicate “increasing demands” companies. MobileFirst Managed Mobility Services will enable customers to buy a Mac that will be delivered directly to the employees without the need for additional setup and configuration”.

IBM has long been a major player on the PC market and thus constituted a serious competitor for Apple and its MacBooks. In July 2014 two IT giant announced a partnership but back then it was about mobile apps.

IBM already uses about 110 000 Apple devices, including 50,000 computers MacBook. However, in the near future the company plans to increase the number of computers competing brand to 200,000. When you consider that the state of IBM is 380 000 people, it can be concluded that Apple computer will be able to work every other employee of the company.
