Huawei Mate 8 has been officially unveiled: 6-inch display, a Kirin 950 chip, battery 4000 mAh

November 26, Huawei officially unveiled its new flagship smartphone Mate 8. The device in aluminum housing and a large 6-inch Full-HD display has received capacious battery, a fingerprint scanner and gold color body.

As a platform in Huawei Mate 8 supports the latest 8-core chip Kirin 950 processor with a clock frequency of 2.3 GHz, graphics accelerator Mali-T880MP4, cellular modem supporting LTE Cat. 6. The smartphone boasts a slim bezel (2.7 mm) and curved at the edges of the protective glass (2.5 D).

The main camera uses a 16-megapixel module with Sony IMX298 with phase autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and optical stabilization. The front camera is 8 megapixel (f/2.4).

Mate 8 is equipped with a slot for two SIM-cards, one of them can be used as a tray for memory card. The battery capacity is 4000 mAh.

Planshetofon will be available on the market in three versions: with 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal memory, with 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of internal and 3 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory. The cost models will be $470, $580 and $690 respectively.

On the market Mate 8 will appear in the first quarter of 2016 with the default Android 6.0 with its own shell Emotion UI. A full presentation of the flagship is expected in January at CES 2016.
