Huawei is going to introduce a smartphone with a display of Force Touch before Apple

Huawei has extended teaser image, according to which, on August 20 will premiere a new high-end smartphone Honor 7i. The device, in addition to unusual retractable module with cameras, can get a display with tactile feedback.

Network sources suggest that the upcoming announcement of the new model, previously included under the designation ATH-AL00. Feature of the device will become retractable camera module, which is equipped with the main and front cameras with dual led flash. The rear camera can be used in any mode, and to work with the front module will need to push out of the housing via a dedicated button.

Network sources clarify that the smartphone will have 64-bit processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 with eight processing cores ARM Cortex-A53 (1.5 GHz) and a graphics controller Adreno 405. The RAM will be 2 or 3 GB capacity flash module — 16 or 32 GB.

It refers specifically to discuss the new product and contains the slogan “The power of touch”, which suggests the presence of a display apparatus that support a similar Force Touch. The latter is used in smart watches Apple Watch and MacBook laptops and allows the touch surfaces to respond to the pressing force.

Display size Honor 7i and its resolution were not disclosed. But, judging from the available images, the display is characterized by a narrow lateral part. The price will range from 320 to 400 USD.

Note that in the second quarter of this year, Huawei is among the three largest producers of smartphones. In the first half of 2015 the company released on the global market more than 20 million smart phones under the brand name of Honor, more than all of last year. The vendor expects this year to put 40 million such devices.
