Huawei Honor Band A1 – a smart bracelet monitoring the sleep quality and levels of UV radiation for $14

Along with the flagship V8 smartphone Honor Huawei unveiled the activity tracker Honor Band A1. Thus, the company intends to compete with the “Chinese Apple” not only in the smartphone market, but also in the segment of fitness trackers.

Honor Band A1 is a budget device meant to compete with the popular fitness bracelet Xiaomi. The device belongs to the category of simple activity trackers, or it can be called an advanced pedometer. Honor Band A1 is able to count steps, distance traveled, calories, analyzing sleep quality. It can be used while walking, Jogging and Cycling. The manufacturer promises the recognition accuracy 97,64%. Feature is the ability to measure UV radiation intensity and to provide recommendations on sunscreen.

Of course, the device is able to notify the owner of vibration or light indication of events on a paired iPhone or Android device. Because the device is no screen or a heart rate sensor at the tracker no, the battery will last for a month of continuous operation. The novelty is protected from water (IP57) and weighs just 20 g.

The device presented in eight color versions, are equipped with a rubber or leather strap for the price of 99 yuan ($14) or 199 yuan (us$28) respectively. Honor Band A1 is available for pre-order, delivery will begin on may 25.
