HP together with the Titan will release its own smart watch support iPhone and Android

In quest to compete with Apple in the market of wearable electronics HP enlisted the support of Titan company, specializing in the production of watches. Along with it, HP is going to release its own “smart” watch. The main features of the device compatible with the iPhone, will be the materials used and the design, although details on these issues have not yet been disclosed.

HP has announced a partnership with Titan, which is the fifth largest manufacturer of watches in the world. Together they will release a wearable smart devices, we have been producing and doing Titan.

According to available information, the first model will appear in India before the end of this year, and later become available in other markets. Judging by the description, it will be a mechanical watch with some smart functions. Similar, for example, produces Withings.

India is a major market simply because Titan is a joint venture between Tata Group and Tamil Nadu Industrial Development Corporation (TIDCO). For HP, the market may well be a starting point to a new segment.

We will remind, a week ago, HP announced a similar partnership with the Swiss Movado, together with released “smart” watches called Bold Motion. They are already available for pre-order at a price of $695 and is compatible with mobile devices on iOS 8 and above. Bold Motion, unlike most other smart watches, deprived of touch screen and has an analog dial.
