Universal clipboard is a system that combines the clipboards on all Apple devices in a single. This means that if the user has something copied on the iPhone, then insert this element can be had on the Mac or iPad. All this happens automatically, but only after this option is turned on.

Basic requirements

Configuring universal clipboard on Mac
Before activating you need to sign in to iCloud by entering Apple ID private data on all your devices. This can be done in the settings of the computer by selecting the submenu iCloud.
In the same menu find the item “Access to my Mac” and put a tick opposite it. Then you need to go to the menu “sharing” in system preferences and put a tick next to “Bluetooth sharing”.
You also need to make sure that the computer is connected to a wireless network Wi-Fi. And the same is connected to the smartphone, tablet and other devices. The same applies to Bluetooth.
If all ticks are put, and the wireless communication module is enabled, the universal clipboard should work.
Configuring universal clipboard on iPhone and iPad
In iOS this feature is enabled by default and works without any settings. We just need to observe a number of conditions:
- Handoff should not be disabled.
The gadget needs to be connected to the same Wi-Fi network as the Mac or any other Apple device.
Bluetooth also must be enabled.
From this point you can copy any information for your iPhone and paste on a Mac without using third-party forwarding services.
