How to answer SMS messages on the iPhone and Android smartphones without hands

If you drive a car, wash dishes or just too lazy, you’ll probably want to listen to text messages and answer them without physical contact with the smartphone.

Just recently, Google added into the Android possibility to listen to the latest incoming messages. This means that the two most popular mobile platforms allow you to respond to similar events without hands. If you still don’t know how to do, then check out the great guide below.

If you’re using iPhone and want to hear the text of last incoming SMS message, first verify that you have activated in the settings the option “Hey, Siri!”. Then say, “Hey, Siri! Read latest posts”. After that, the assistant will read your unread Inbox.

After each read text messages Siri is going to ask you whether you want to answer it. If you say Yes, then he can dictate a response, and if “No” — the assistant will read the following message.

This process is similar on Android devices. After the phrase “Okay, Google! Show me the last message” phone will display the last five incoming on the screen. The assistant will tell you who sent the first message and offer to read it aloud. You can hear it or skip this step. If you select listen, then you will have the opportunity to respond to the message using dictation or move on to the next.

That’s all you need to know to answer text messages in iOS and Android without using his hands.
