A year ago, introduced the first generation Samsung Galaxy Buds headphones. At the presentation, Galaxy Unpacked 2020 showed a logical continuation of the model – Galaxy Buds +. Let's look at them and compare the new and old generations.
Design
The updated headphones did not seem to change in any way, only the weight increased: now each earphone weighs 6.3 grams (it was 5.6 grams). How much the case weighs is not reported.
On sale headphones will appear for 10 990 rubles in black, white, blue and red colors. For comparison, the first generation in Russian retail is offered for 9,990 rubles, and the second generation AirPods with wireless charging support will cost 16,990 rubles.
Sound and talk
Samsung promises improved sound quality thanks to dual drivers (woofer + tweeter) manufactured by AKG.
Noise canceling was not delivered, but additional microphones were added: now there are three of them, the voice during communication on the phone should sound clearly, without interference.
Autonomy
The weight of the headphones has increased for a reason: autonomy has almost doubled. Here is a comparison plate:

Galaxy Buds + can be recharged both via the USB Type-C connector, and using wireless charging. Three minutes of charging in the case is enough for an hour of listening. In the previous version, it took 15 minutes to charge for 100 minutes of playback.
IOS support
Samsung Galaxy Buds worked with iOS devices, but there was no proprietary setup application. For new headphones, it has appeared, but connecting the past generation through it will not work. Galaxy Buds + received Bluetooth 5.0 with the ability to connect to two devices at the same time, as well as protection against splashes according to the IPX2 standard – enough for training.
Exclusive Thom Browne Edition
