HomePod has passed the FCC ahead of launch

After a few months of waiting, smart column HomePod can finally go on sale.

Earlier it was reported that the beginning of deliveries is scheduled for February 2018. Today this assumption is partially confirmed. Apple finally received the approval of the Federal communications Commission (FCC).

In the official application FCC the device is called “Apple Inc. Wireless Speaker” code name A1639. The accompanying chart of foods will almost certainly confirm that this is the same device that was presented in June of last year.

FCC approval is often considered to be a reliable indication that the new Apple product will soon go on sale. For example, X iPhone got it October 4, 2017, and went on sale on 3 November.

Smart column Apple HomePod was announced at the conference for developers WWDC 2017. Representatives of the company promised that the device will cost $ 349 and will go on sale in December 2017, but the exact date is not reported.

HomePod is a music column, developed by Apple. Unlike competitors Amazon Echo and Google Home, she has the best technical characteristics. HomePod is able to play music from Apple Music service, manage gadgets for the smart home with HomeKit support to execute certain commands.
