The Verge published screenshots of the updated Gmail website. The new design includes elements of Material Design and several functions of a mail service Inbox.
In the web version of Gmail there is an option for quick answers, which was added to the mobile app on Android. In Gmail you can defer email to a certain time, as is done in Inbox. But the most noticeable change is the sidebar on the right. It can display a calendar, notes, Google Keep and tasks list.
In Gmail there will be three options to display the list of emails. By default, the service are selected attachments, such as photos and documents. This view can be turned off or replaced by more compact, which resembles the existing design Gmail.
It is reported that the updated design will be available to all users in the coming weeks. Exactly when this will happen is not specified. The company will talk in detail about the new version of Gmail in Google I/O conference may 8, 2018.
