Google has lowered the minimum price of apps in the Russian Google Play to the level of the App Store

Google revised the prices in your own store Google Play. Now the minimum price is 15 rubles instead of 30. The company did not explain the reasons for this step, but the only logical assumption is that the decline in sales in the Android apps and in-app purchases.

Google has lowered the minimum cost of programs for a number of countries, including and Russia. Now in Russian segment of Google Play apps may cost twice cheaper.

Three weeks ago, Google appointed a new threshold prices for applications, increasing the maximum cost in Russia in 7 times, and now revised and the minimum price may install the developer — now the cheapest program costs 15 rubles in Russia. A total of 17 countries have got under reduction.

Although in Google Play most of the apps is free, there is also a paid development. The new price tag, according to Google, will allow developers more flexibility in pricing and attract new users.

Previously, the search giant conducted an experiment on reduction of prices in India and considered it a success. “We hope that the lower prices will allow developers to reach more users worldwide,” said the company.

In July 2015 the Apple was reduced to 15 rubles, the minimum price for apps in the Russian App Store. Before that, at the end of last year, the company changed the internal course, raising prices on app almost doubled.
