Free mobile operator “Atlas” was brought in a few days 150,000 users

New mobile operator “Atlas”, providing free communication services, began to deliver a SIM card ordered by the inhabitants of Moscow. As told by the managing partner of the Fund Russian Ventures Eugene Gordeev, a few days in the capital, there are 150 000 people connect to free communication.

Mobile operator “Atlas”, offering innovative model of interaction with subscribers, earned in Moscow on 8 November. According to the organizers of the project, it is a “mobile freemium service.” The subscriber each month gets one free communication package, the other packages can be activated points, the so-called “atlases”.

Points may be earned using services and buying goods partners mobile operator. Among them, mainly Internet companies and retail: AliExpress, Booking.com, Aviasales, MediaMarkt, “Yandex” and Mail.ru. If the user will not have enough points, he will be able to buy them for money.

The project partner was the company “SIM-Telecom” subsidiary operator “Beeline”, also providing services of cellular communication. According to Gordeyev, after Moscow, the delivery of SIM cards “Atlas” will start in other major cities of Russia – Saint-Petersburg, Kazan, Yekaterinburg and other. The plans of the founders – launch services on the markets of EU, Asia and South America.

To order SIM card, you need to use the app for iOS or Android.

Note that the similar American service Freedompop gives its subscribers a free package with limitations on the duration of calls and the volume of Internet traffic. For additional traffic and calls from users will be charged. In August, the company of Russian businessman Mikhail Fridman LetterOne has invested in Freedompop $50 million.
