Facebook released a new app for sharing photos Moments

Facebook released a new app Moments that allows you to share photos, publish them to social networks. The program is designed to solve the problem of sharing images between users who don’t want the pictures were in the public domain.

Moments gives you the opportunity to combine your photos into albums and send them to friends. All images are stored in your own private cloud in Facebook — the company synchronizes only those photos that are entered by the user, and does not save the whole album mobile devices.

Moments can also automatically identify who took the picture to send it to a friend. In social networks believe that they managed to find a “middle ground” between sending photos in public albums on the social network and save images to closed accounts on photo-sharing community websites.

The Moments app is the brainchild of the internal divisions of the company Facebook Creative Labs. Previously, the Studio has released a news reader app Paper and “killer” Snapchat Slingshot.

It’s worth noting that Facebook owns the photo service Instagram — the company announced its acquisition for $1 billion in April 2012. In addition to the publication of photographs in total the tape, it also has the ability to send your images to a personal message.

The Moments app is already available for download in the us App Store. The timing output of the program in other countries is not reported.
