Facebook has launched a news app with push notifications Notify

Social network Facebook on Wednesday launched a news app for iPhone users in the United States. It is reported Reuters with reference to the press release of the company.

A new app called Notify is the content of such news sources as Fox News, the Washington Post and CBS Sports, and allows users to share notifications with your friends and family.

Notify allows you to subscribe to alerts from “stations” that tells the most interesting information. It can be alert about the weather, sports results and matches, photo of the day, as well as news, information about movie trailers, news, fashion, computer games and others.

Notify the user can choose which of the 70 currently available sources to receive notifications. If desired, the alert can be shared with friends right from the lock screen without opening it. There is an option for time-shifted viewing – if you read or watch the offered content is now not want or does not work, you can save the alert for later.

In Notify, you can not only choose “the station”, but also configure each “station” individually – say, to indicate news on which companies or sports teams must be sent.

At the moment the app is only available for the USA, however, should appear and in other countries.
