Facebook for the first time used a billion people per day

Social network Facebook has set a record attendance. First, the number of users coming to the resource in one day, reached a billion. This was told by the service Creator mark Zuckerberg.

“We have crossed an important threshold. For the first time, a billion people used Facebook in the same day. On Monday (25 August) every seventh person on earth went to Facebook to communicate with their family and friends,” wrote Zuckerberg on his Facebook page.

The founder of Facebook added that he is very proud of the community resource and progress the social network.

“I’m so proud of our community that has made such progress. Our community is in favour of giving each person a voice, for the promotion of mutual understanding and inclusion of everyone in our modern world,” he added. Zuckerberg thanked users of the resource, because they have become a part of Facebook and helped to establish such a record.

Ten years ago, the social network created exclusively for Harvard students, but was soon appreciated by the students of other universities in the USA, and then and users of the whole Earth. Now most users of Facebook are people living outside the USA.

Social networks just registered about 1.5 billion accounts. Each of them used at least once a month.
