External SSD Plextor EX1 made in the design of the iPod and is equipped with interface USB C

Manufacturer storage Plextor announces external SSD called EX1. The novelty has compact dimensions, high speeds thanks to the USB interface-C design, similar to the iPod line nano.

Novelty has a connector corresponding to the specifications of USB 3.1 Gen 2. Through this interface the data transfer speed reaches 550 MB/s sequential read and 500 MB/s sequential writes.

The storage device supports TRIM, S. M. A. R. T., NCQ and ATA/ATAPI-8. Data encryption is AES-256.

Dimensions EX1 amount of 101.2 x 31.6 x 8.7 mm and the product weighs only 30 grams. In the product package includes case and adapter for connection to USB-A.

The device presented in versions with 128, 256 and 512 GB of memory, as well as in silver and Golden variants of the design.

The cost of an external drive Plextor EX1 will be announced later.
