Dual camera will remain exclusive to expensive models of the iPhone in 2017

Dual back camera, presents the iPhone 7 Plus this week, will remain exclusive to the 5.5-inch models of Apple smartphones in 2017. This was reported by KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, citing its own sources.

The iPhone 7 Plus equipped with dual camera: wide-angle 12-megapixel (like in the iPhone 7) and the second 12-megapixel camera with a telephoto lens. Together they provide a 2-fold optical zoom and 10x digital zoom when taking photos.

Dual camera are present only in the iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 7, there is a compact “normal” photo module with optical stabilization, expanded color range and the new 6-cell faster lens (aperture of f/1,8). In 2017 the situation will not change, says Kuo. According to him, this is due to the fact that the dual camera is not yet massively requested features, and required only professional photographers and Amateurs pictures.

Given the relatively high cost of this camera (about $30-40), which increases the cost of the smartphone, the analyst believes that in 2017, the dual camera will be present only in the more expensive models of the iPhone and more affordable smartphones will continue to do the same with the main camera.

Note that for the processing of data from cameras both the iPhone 7 meets the new image processor, calculated over 100 billion operations on a single photo for 25 MS. Due to this further increased the quality of images and videos. In addition, smart phones have got 50% brighter flash with four LEDs (two warm and two cold), as well as a special sensor for detection and smoothing of lens flare in videos and photos in artificial lighting conditions.
