Drones to help make Apple Maps better

According to Reuters, Apple has filed an application to the Federal office of civil aviation for permission to photograph the streets with the help of drones.

Apple representatives have reported that filming with quadcopters will help improve Apple Maps and create more accurate maps. Nevertheless, the Corporation continues to take care of privacy. Therefore, the faces and the numbers caught in the frame of the car are hidden.

Apple plans to launch the test flights of unmanned aerial vehicles in several US States. If all goes well, the quadcopters will always be used for aerial photography. This will allow time to identify inconsistencies and to provide users with the latest information.

Perhaps these measures will help to make Apple Maps more popular. At the moment the quality of Apple leaves much to be desired, and the detail cards is much inferior to the information provided by the immediate competitor of Google Maps.
