Deutsche Bank has banned employees from texting in WhatsApp and iMessage to work

The leadership of the German unit Deutsche Bank has forbidden its employees to correspond in messengers WhatsApp, iMessage, Google Talk and others with corporate phones. On it informs edition Bloomberg, citing a source in the company.

Unlike emails, text messages cannot be archived by the Bank. The new policy also applies to personal phones of employees used for work.

“We fully understand that such measures will change your daily work, and sorry for inconvenience that will bring a ban. However, this step is necessary to ensure that Deutsche Bank continues to meet regulatory and legal requirements,” — said in a statement released by the Bank for employees.
