Cyanogen has changed its name and will be developing software for unmanned vehicles

Edition Axios noticed that the company Cyanogen has changed its name and occupation.
The company Cyanogen, which involved the creation of a custom Android firmware changed the name to Cyngn. Axios said that the company received a permit to test self-driving cars from the government of Palo Alto.

To Cyngn has been joined by 30 people, among which former employees of Facebook, Mercedes-Benz and the Chinese automaker’s Future Mobility. The company continues to look for workers in Singapore and Palo Alto.

Known for its Cyanogen firmware CyanogenMod and Cyanogen OS. The latter was used as a standard in the first OnePlus smartphone. At the end of 2016, the company refused to CyanogenMod, but the former head of continued the project called Lineage OS.
