China has banned the use of LTE in the Apple Watch Series 3

China unexpectedly restricted access to LTE in the Apple Watch Series 3 without explanation. According to analysts, the government has some concerns about eSIM. It is reported 9to5Mac.

As soon as a new watch appeared in China, LTE was available, but after a couple of days users have found that they no longer can set cellular gadget. Saying that managed to enable LTE on Apple Watch, the limit has not yet touched.

Analysts believe the government is concerned that because of the eSIM they can’t track who uses the new “smart” watches.

The latest version of the Apple Watch — the problem existing in China identification system for users, because they contain a new tiny version of the SIM card, called eSIM. It’s built into the gadget and the advantage of the device that uses it, is that with the help of software users can choose a service provider and package.

Apple already knows about the problem and is conducting negotiations with operator China Unicom, which had previously said that access to LTE had been proposed “on an experimental basis.”

Apple quite a long time trying to break into the wounds of China, and each such incident worsens the relations of the company and the government. For example, recently the IT giant had to be removed from the Chinese App Store, more than 400 VPN applications that has caused negative reaction of users.
