“Beeline” is set to launch 5G network

“Beeline” announced the signing of an agreement on joint study and testing of technologies underlying 5G networks, Huawei. Cooperation with the Chinese company seeks to determine the steps for the development of operator networks towards 5G, the strategy of digital transformation of the company.

Under the agreement, it is planned that in the first quarter of 2017 will be tested LTE-U (LTE-Unlicensed) and LTE-Advanced Pro designed to improve the user experience in terms of data transfer.

These studies will help Huawei to develop new technologies and standards, and “Beeline” to create the next generation network, improve service quality and launch new digital services for customers.

For 2017, the companies intend to develop and test the technology of “Internet of things” – machine interaction (M2M), virtual radio, as well as solutions for public safety. In addition, the parties agreed this year to test a number of possibilities, allowing to increase speed and reduce network latency during data transfer.
