The operator “Beeline” in talks with Apple about enabling technologies for Russian VoLTE subscribers with the iPhone, which will make network communication more convenient and efficient. This was reported by the marketing Director of the Moscow region the company Irina Lebedeva.
In mid-August, “Beeline” has launched a new service for subscribers of operator — access to technology VoLTE. While this technology only supports one model of smartphone — Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3, and it is available only to Moscow subscribers with postpaid tariffs. But soon everything will change, promise in the “Beeline”.
The VoLTE technology allows to solve the problem of the Russian fourth generation networks that do not support the transmission of voice data. Now for making voice call, the subscriber unit switches to 2G and 3G and back to LTE when the call is ended, said the development Director of a network “a Biline” Sergey Knyshev. In practice, this means delays in establishing a connection, which can range from 5 to 10 seconds or even more and also leads to faster discharge of the battery of the smartphone, forced to move from one network to another and back. When using VoLTE same connection will be established instantly, the device will continuously be in a 4G network, and the smartphone’s battery will save the charge.
For iPhone started to support VoLTE in the network of “Beeline” Apple needs to release a corresponding update. But this will happen only after the company will be convinced of the reliability and quality of technology. The operator will have to get certified from the company to get right to enable VoLTE, as Apple traditionally monitors the quality perception of your brand.
Everything in the world declared or produced more than 200 smartphones with support for VoLTE. Flagship smartphones iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus support.
