Most sources agree that the new generation of Apple’s smartphone will be used as LCD screens and OLED. According to IHS, Markit, all the iPhone 8 with displays, organic LEDs will have flat screens, not curved at the edges, like the next flagship, the Samsung Galaxy S8.
“According to our sources, Apple has opted for a flat design of OLED screens for its new smartphone iPhone is the similar to the current design with a 2.5 D glass, – said Wayne Lam, IHS, Markit. Also, as in the case of LG G6 panel of the new iPhone will have a different aspect ratio as the display will occupy a large area of the front panel. The new design language is expected to become a trend in 2017″.
Supply OLED displays for the new iPhone will make Samsung Display. Experts believe that the South Korean manufacturer will produce from 70 to 100 million displays per year. However, only in 2015, Apple has sold over 230 million smartphones iPhone. This fact corresponds to the assumption that the OLED display will get only the major version of the iPhone 8.
