The middle of summer promises to be hot: Apple launched a branded streaming and Korean brand Astell&Kern presented on the Russian market a new flagship player AK380.
Releasing a new model, the manufacturer promises to raise the bar for quality professional sound at an unattainable level – AK380 gives the most realistic sound in any playable format. “The new building, excellent ergonomics and high sound characteristics, undoubtedly, connoisseurs will appreciate the high-quality audio”, – declare in the company.
Korean engineers, as they say, invented a truly “real Paradise for the audiophile” with his new “child” super abilities, is not subject to more than one player: audio coding 32 bit/384 kHz is reproduced directly, without conversion or compression. In addition, AK380 used 20-band parametric EQ, controlled by a separate processor for volume control accurate to 0.1 dB.
Another interesting solution is the use of high-precision clock Femto Clock with a jitter value of 200 femtoseconds, making the sound completely natural and alive. This technology is used in expensive large-scale audio systems and has to deal with units of extremely short duration. The use of Femto Clock provided AK380 more accurate frequency value and a better adjustment of the jitter.
As for the connection, here is the flagship of all wonderful. Wireless DLNA network became more functional thanks to a range of useful features. This and the ability to connect to a NAS or PC control via smartphone or tablet through the app AK Connect, transfer files without having to turn on the computer. And with the help of programs such as DMP (player), DMC (controller multimedia game), DMS (network server) and DMR (mediarenderer) to store and listen to music has become much easier.
Key features AK380: direct playback of music with the encoding of up to 32 bit / 384 kHz, DSD support files up to a frequency of 5.6 MHz, 20-band parametric EQ.
On the shelves of Russian stores model will be available in mid-July at a price of about 200 000.
