The company also announced a competition for development students called the Swift Student Challenge. Participants in this contest are invited to submit their mini-applications in Swift. Students over 13 years old from accredited educational institutions, as well as students of the Apple Academy for developers, are allowed to participate in the competition.
Note that at WWDC Apple usually presents new versions of operating systems for its devices. According to rumors, in iOS 14, which the company is due to introduce this year, there will be a new built-in fitness application and support for handwriting recognition in text input windows. The media also reported that in the watchOS system designed for Apple smart watches, a sleep monitoring system will be introduced, and in the future, Apple Watch will be able to measure the level of oxygen in the blood.
According to the latest data, over 3.68 million cases of coronavirus have been reported in the world. The leaders in the number of cases identified are the United States (1.2 million cases), Spain (219.3 thousand cases) and Italy (213 thousand cases). In total, almost 258 thousand people died from coronavirus, and 1.2 million patients were cured. In Russia, officially there are almost 166 thousand infected with coronavirus, 1537 dead and 21.3 thousand recovered. In terms of the number of cases of infection, Russia ranks 7th in the world.
