According Loup Ventures analyst Gene Munster, Apple plans to spend more than four billion dollars until 2022 to create video content.
This amount will be in addition to billion previously spent on the production of serials that will be released in 2018.
Munster says that by 2022, Amazon will spend eight billion dollars on creating original series, but Netflix is seven billion. Budget Apple looks a little modest compared to competitors.
The report also stated that the Corporation plans to rebrand Apple Music in the next 2-3 years. The new service will focus on more user-friendly presentation of video content. Apple has long invested in the projects, such as Carpool Karaoke and Planet of the Apps, and is beyond the scope of the music world. Now the company is going to compete with shows and movies from Netflix, Amazon and Hulu.
Music streaming Apple Music service was launched in June 2015 and is progressing very actively. Perhaps in the near future the Corporation and does refuse to sell content through iTunes.
