Apple will apply part of the proceeds from the sale of the Pride version of straps for the Apple Watch in favor of organizations that protect the rights of the gay community around the world. The message on it appeared on the product page in the official online store of the company.
New “rainbow” straps for the Apple Watch went on sale in early June. The accessories are made in strict compliance with the straps, which Apple gave to its employees in the gay pride parade last year.
On Wednesday, on the page with the description of band message, according to which part of the proceeds from the sale of the product will be listed in favor of the LGBT organizations involved in activities aimed at promoting the sexual orientation. These include: GLSEN, PFLAG, Human Rights Campaign, The Trevor Project, but also influential international organization ILGA (international Association of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex).
ILGA carries out activities including on the territory of Russia.
