Apple will release only one iPhone with OLED display this year

According to the publication Digitimes, in 2018 Apple will release only one iPhone with OLED screen – iPhone X Plus.

Previously, Ming-Chi Kuo of analytical Agency KGI predicted your option lineup of smartphones. It will include two models with OLED screen, diagonal is 5.8 and 6.5 inches respectively, and one with a 6.1-inch LCD display.

Digitimes reports that Apple is testing several variants of prototypes with different diagonals.

The report also confirmed earlier reports on the preparation by the manufacturer of a successor to iPhone SE. He probably will receive support wireless charging. It is unlikely that the novelty will receive the support of technology 3D Touch and Face ID. It is expected that the gadget will be available in may or June of 2018.

According to the source, the manufacturer has not yet decided on the lineup of smartphones. Apple is testing four different design of the iPhone to 2018: 5.8-inch LCD screen, 6.1-inch LCD display, 6.1-inch OLED and 6.4-inch OLED. It is expected that the company will focus on this choice: 5.8-inch LCD, 6.1-inch LCD and a 6.5-inch OLED. It makes sense, after all, Apple did just that in 2017, releasing two new iPhone models with LCD displays and iPhone X with OLED.
