The EU’s decision, Apple must pay to the government of Ireland 15.9 billion dollars in unpaid taxes. But payment may be delayed.
On Wednesday, during a meeting of the European Parliament, the Prime Minister of Ireland, Leo Varadkar announced that the government respect the decision of the European court, and will start to charge money from Apple in the second quarter of 2018.
The representative of the Ministry of Finance of Ireland has specified that procedure of transfer of funds requires some training and will be conducted during the second and third quarters of 2018. According to him, to make payments necessary to organize the work of the Foundation collection, which will be credited money from Apple.
The European Commission threatened Ireland with a fine in case of long delays.
