In the second generation Apple Watch will use a more subtle display of a new type, allowing it to fit inside the case, the new sensors and a more powerful power supply. We are talking about “all-glass” display, One Glass Solution (OGS), which will replace the technology of Glass on Glass (G/G).
As reported by DigiTimes, Apple Watch 2 will be notable for the fact that is created with application of technology of OGS. This technology is to combine the LCD panel and touch layer, this eliminates the air gap between these parts and the image quality improves. The use of a single glass display design will make the Apple Watch 2 is easier and will free up space inside the enclosure for the new components.
In TPK Holding, the company said that the production of such display panels are not too profitable for Apple. Analysts fear that the complexity of the production of a component for the Apple Watch 2 can affect the overall release of smart watches.
According to unconfirmed information, the second generation Apple Watch will get productive SiP platform S2, built-in FaceTime camera and will be less dependent on iPhone that can increase the popularity of the device. This will be possible thanks to the integration of the new chip Wi-Fi and GPS module.
The official presentation of the Apple Watch 2 is expected in September of this year, along with the iPhone 7. Sources indicate that the new product can go on sale September 16.
