Apple has launched an API that allows you to embed photos Live Photos on site pages. Appropriate section appeared on the official website of the company.
Apple has posted the user manual for the introduction of “animated” photos on sites using JavaScript. To play Live Photos the user just hover the mouse cursor on the icon in the upper right corner of the image.
Function live photos first appeared in iOS 9.1 on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. It allows to capture the in motion — 3 seconds before and after was done the frame. Shooting Live Photos is only possible on iOS devices of last generation. Support Live Photos have also iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, and iPhone SE.
Apple noted that the Live Photos are optimized so that the amount of occupied space on the internal drive, they are not very different from ordinary photo. But experience has shown that photographs Live Photo takes twice as much space compared to a conventional 12-megapixel images
Live Photos can be viewed on iPhone, iPad, Mac and Apple Watch with the latest version of the operating system.
