Apple updated its iWork office Suite to support 3D Touch, Split View and “picture in picture”

Apple has released an update to iWork software package intended for operating systems iOS and OS X. the Release improves compatibility proprietary software “Apple” of the company for the latest operating system iOS 9 and OS X El Capitan.

In iWork consists of three programs – Keynote, Numbers and Pages. On Friday, the office Suite iWork got an update: Pages for Mac to version 5.6, Numbers – to version 3.6, Keynote to version 6.6; Pages, Numbers and Keynote for iOS to version 2.6. According to accompanying documentation, this update added support for multi-tasking while editing thanks to the new Split View modes, Slide Over and “picture in picture” on an iPad and 3D Touch on the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus. For Mac computers with El Capitan added support for Split View and Force Touch trackpad.

Version of iWork in iCloud got rid of the beta status and documents versions of iWork 06 and 08 it is now possible to open in a web browser. In addition, there was improved compatibility with Microsoft Office documents. Users of new iOS devices and Mac can get iWork apps for free.

iWork for Mac come free with every new Mac. Existing application users who have installed OS X El Capitan, are free to update their apps through the Mac App Store. IWork for iOS is available for free in the App Store for users of any new devices running iOS 8.4 and above, they are also available as a free software update for all existing users.
