As reported, the case was initiated on the complaint of the citizen Dmitry Petrov, which Apple in 2016, refused to replace the damaged display on the iPhone 6 Plus in the absence of deliveries to Russia of spare parts and offered to replace the smartphone with an additional charge.
Initially, the violation of Apple is treated as “solicitations”, however, according to the source, the company in the meeting asked for retraining in the “refusal to contract”.
Petrov already addressed in Basmanny court of Moscow from-for impossibility of replacing iPhone screen. This claim was rejected, the decision appealed against in Moscow city court. However, following the meeting of the FAS Petrov plans to drop the suit, since the main goal is getting a full service has been achieved, he said.
“If Apple will open a full service centre for its faulty products, it will be a positive development in this long dispute,” he said.
The FAS already has one case against the iPhone maker. The Agency suspects the company coordinate the pricing for the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus. Check the case raised 16 Russian retailers.
