Apple takes more than half of the global market of wearable electronics, Samsung in second place

More than half of the market of wearable electronics, which includes smart watches and sports wristbands, in the first quarter of this year, he held the Apple. Such data leads research firm Strategy Analytics.

According to the researchers, the share of Apple in the period was 53% of revenue from sales of wearable devices. In the second place, for the first time ahead of Fitbit, Samsung came out with a figure of 12.8%. Experts point to high demand for smart watches Samsung Gear S3, allowing the South Korean giant managed to climb one place.

Third place belongs to the Fitbit, which controls 12.2 percent of the market. The company is weakened because of declining demand for fitness bracelets, and also because the company later came into emerging markets.

If to take into consideration the proceeds received, and the number of shipped goods, the first place on the market also holds the Apple with a share of 16%, and the second and third is Xiaomi and Fitbit, which went to, respectively, 15.5% and 12.3% of the market.
